Shannon Thielen is excited to join Sullivan & Barros in 2026 as an associate attorney within the firm's Real Estate Transactional, Business Law and Litigation Practice Group. Prior to joining the firm, Shannon began her career in Northern Virginia representing commercial property owners, developers, and lenders. She has handled a wide variety of transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, borrower- and lender-side financing, and leasing. She has also managed disputes and litigation including unlawful detainers, collections, foreclosures, bankruptcies, breach of contract or warranty cases, and quiet title actions. Shannon has also advised clients on land use and development matters including site-specific comprehensive plan amendments, rezonings, special exceptions, and site plan amendments.

Shannon leads with a strategic business-driven approach to efficiently resolve disputes and facilitate optimal transactions for our clients. Shannon graduated magna cum laude receiving her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern California and obtained her Juris Doctor from the George Mason University Law School in 2022. During law school, Shannon served as a Research Editor for the George Mason International Law Journal. Shannon leads with a strategic business-driven approach to efficiently resolve disputes and facilitate optimal transactions for our clients.
