Sarah joined Sullivan & Barros in the summer of 2021 as a Legal Assistant for the zoning team, and now works for the Firm as a Case Manager. Sarah manages all Firm zoning cases with the D.C. Board of Zoning Adjustment (BZA) and the D.C. Zoning Commission (ZC). This includes case research, drafting Burden of Proof and Prehearing Statements, hearing presentations; and preparing, drafting, filing, and prosecuting BZA special exception and variance cases, as well as monitoring deadlines and arranging community meeting schedules. She also manages new client intake and practice group business administrative tasks. Sarah studied at James Madison University, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies in 2020, and her Master's Degree in the Art in Teaching in 2021. Sarah's goal as a case manager is to eliminate the stress that comes with the BZA and ZC process and make it as streamlined and effortless as possible for clients.
